Golden Clough bridge
Peak District National Park Authority
Winner of 2007 CPRE Design Award.
This bridge was carved from a naturally-curved sweet chestnut tree growing just 200 yards from the site. Along with the National Park's countryside maintenance team who helped, I walked into the site each day and not having to use any heavy machinery meant that the carbon footprint of the bridge was very low. <You can watch a video of the bridge being made here>

River Noe bridge
