teaching methods
We start by teaching basic axe and knife cutting using sticks and pieces of waste wood to encourage people to concentrate on getting the correct techniques. Then students can practice by making stirrers, spatulas and spoons.
On longer courses we also aim to cover different woods for carving and more about tools and how to sharpen them.

locals taster day
There is a limit to how much you can achieve in just one day, but we were given some community arts funding to run some carving taster sessions for local folk. We live in a close-knit community and had such fun running these!
