spoon carving for beginners
During the course you will learn the safe and effective use of knives and axes. There will be the opportunity to experience the working properties of a range of native timbers. By the end of the course you should have made several spatulas or spoons to use in your own kitchen. You will also get a knife and some wood to take home and practice with afterwards.

For those who have attended a Foundation Course or have existing spoon carving skills, this will be an opportunity to learn more advanced skills a gain a greater understanding of spoon design. A range of tools and timbers will be avaiable for you to experiment with and numbers will be very limited so there will be ample opportunity for personal tuition.
