Heritage Craft Association

When not at his lathe Robin is often found at the computer working as chairman of the recently convened Heritage Crafts Association. He cares passionately about the loss of traditional skills and the HCA was set up to preserve and promote heritage crafts as an important part of our living heritage

There are many excellent crafts organisations supporting individual crafts but there has been no organisation to raise the profile and act as advocacy body for the whole of the heritage crafts. This has been difficult for government and funding agencies and has meant that the craftspeople have had no cohesive voice.

On the website you can see examples of heritage crafts, learn about the work of the HCA and pledge your support (it's free).By the second day of the website going live over 100 people had signed their support to the HCA and 120 joined the Facebook group showing the depth of feeling.
