I have some really very nice individual bowls at the moment and hope you can find something here that you like the look of.
We are still OK for Christmas delivery but these bowls seem to be going out as fast as I can upload photos at the moment. I try to update any sold ones each day so if it does not say SOLD it should still be available.

Huge beech platter, this is so nicely proportioned it just looks like a normal plate in the photo but it is 18.5" diameter perfect for carving the Christmas turkey in fact if it is still here I might be using it myself £165

This huge bowl in Alder was an extra made as part of an order for Time Team at Dover Castle, I always have to make an extra one or two on large orders in case of mishaps along the way. Time Team and English Heritage worked together to recreate an 11th century interior, the show is on TV on 19th December, 8pm, Channel 4. 15.5" £125 sold

Finally I have not had time to make any of these recently but this is a very special nesting set of bowls all cut from one piece of wood one inside the other.

This particular nest is made of alder and is the one I was photographed turning in Country Living magazine for the Balvenie Artisan of the Year award. The picture below shows the size of them £455

This gorgeous quaich is made from maple burr I have one from the same tree for drinking my whisky from, they really are a joy to use. 3.5" sterling silver rim £165

A one of a kind platter made with porringer style handles, something I made on a whim because it fitter the tree I was working from, never made on like it and may never make another. 12.5" across the handles £45

A beech bowl with carved detail. I started making this detail after visiting Novgorod in Russia in 1998 and seeing medieval bowls with similar detail. I love the way the rim has moved on this one as it dried. 6.5" £49

I have some really very nice individual bowls at the moment and hope you can find something here that you like the look of, the spalted beech was a particularly stunning tree and made some very unusual bowls.

1 This star bowl has been painted on the outside with a natural paint made with linseed oil and an earth pigment I collect from the shale beds in Edale. 8" £33

2 These bowls have home made natural pint on the outside, this is commonly done in Sweden but not often in the UK. I make the paint from linseed oil and various ground earth pigments I collect locally.
