wooden bowl photography

Crispin is working with me this month as part of his Prince’s Foundation building craft apprenticeship

In his previous career he was a product photographer, a chance I could not pass up so not only has he been taking some great product shots for me he has been showing me how he does it too. Here are some of the results, this is new stock that I have just uploaded to the shop

For the technically minded, they are all natural daylight. The paper roll background runs up against a window with light coming from either side.

Would you, please, tell us more about the flame blackening and Swedish blue pigment application?

Have you tried making a nesting set of bowls yet?

Peter I have been making nests for nearly 20 years. If you go to the shop section of the website there is a section showing nests and in the craft section there is a video of me making a nest.
