Wednesday 9pm sees the start of the new series of Tudor Monastery Farm and the first craft they cover with will be bowl turning. They filmed at my workshop in the spring when Ruth Goodman and the team visited my workshop and I turned some Tudor style dishes for them. Most of the series is filmed at the Weald and Downland Museum where they have had a range of my bowls for many years. It will be nice to see them in use on the TV. Just caught the item on TV last night; great looking bowls. I recognised the view looking up Edale.
It was good to see them using the bowls as well.

I watched this programme and recognised the buildings and location straight away. Having walked the track a number of times I didnot realise what wasmade here and found it very interesting. I might consider a course for next year.

I enjoyed that programme very much! When I read its summary on the iPlayer, I thought: “I’ll bet there’s wood-turning in here!”
Then, I was happy when they said: “… aptly named:” I said: “Robin Wood!”
My wife asked how I’d have possibly known that 🙂
