This film is an absolute gem. On the surface it is quite simply about the making of ballet shoes but it goes so much deeper. The deep and passionate relationship through an object that links a hard working maker to the ethereal world of the ballet.

Amazing film and shows the true art that goes into the making of what seems a simple thing, a ballet shoe. I kept hoping to see the maker and the dancer meeting at the end and maybe the maker watching his shoes on stage.
